If you went bankrupt after buying a house with a VA loan, can you qualify for another VA loan in the future? I’ll explain today.

 

If you use a VA loan to purchase a property and then go through bankruptcy, will you be eligible to use a VA loan in the future?

 

The answer is yes. If it’s been past two years of the discharge, you can actually use the VA loan again.

 

You can use the VA loan again.

 

The VA loan has a no collection policy on what the loss was on the house that was in bankruptcy. Instead, the figure out what they lost on that property and deduct it from your eligibility certificate that they are going to issue you for your new purchase.
