Home buyers in Maryland need to get Pre-Approved before they get into a car with a Realtor. Buyers don’t take this personal when an Agent asks you to get Pre-Approved because they do not want to waste time with unqualified Buyers.
There is also a layer of safety because getting Pre-Approved gives a little more information to a referring partner so they can report back to the Agent that you are who you say you are and legit.
